Every time we visit Providence from WISCONSIN, I always make a priority to go to Yangs. You don’t get this type of Chinese food in Wisconsin. Literally,l! Food is cheap and you get plenty of food. Service is somewhat fast. I order the same thing over again, half chicken pork fried rice.

I've been frequenting this restaurant for well over ten years and the quality of their food remains consistent. They are very good greasy Chinese food. They do cater to their Dominican community and you can tell by the Spanish speaking and tostones that they sell. If you are in the area and in the mood for good ghetto Chinese food this is the place to go.

I wish people will give the glory they deserve...this is one of the best Chinese restaurants in RI...yes RI. Awesome taste, always flavorful. Unfortunately they only take cash, but is way worth it. Prices are also very affordable. Best chicharon de pollo with tostones...even better than Hispanic restaurants.

Yang Restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant you can get in Broad Street. With Broad Street being such a long road with an abundance of restaurants and markets, having this restaurant around is the best. By far their most popular item is the chicharrón and tostones combo. Chicharrón is pork and tostones are mashed fried plantains. I would recommend getting this item!! It’s only $10! If you want to just have one, then get the chicharrón. Another popular item that’s my personal favorite is their chicken wings, these aren’t just your average wings that are the size of a finger, these are actually massive wings that often fit in your entire hand, adult wings! I am unsure of the exact cost per wing, but you can get 6 of them for $11. They’re hot, crispy, and very filling. Of course they also offer several other combos and many other traditional Chinese items. They offer curbside parking and have an entire parking lot at your disposal. They make the food FAST!! Often finishing whatever item you ordered in around 10 minutes since they’re always on the job. They’re open from 11:00AM to 11:00PM and often are opened during holidays. They also speak pretty well Spanish and English. I don’t have any negative comments about this restaurant other than the fact that they only take cash, so be warned this is a CASH ONLY restaurant. No credit/debit cards allowed. For anyone that isn’t familiar with chicharrón, The way this restaurant makes it is with bone-in. So be careful to put it in your mouth and take a bite without being aware of where the bone is, I would recommend breaking off pieces with your fingers before taking a bite. Just to make sure you don’t bite on any hard bones because they’ll definitely hurt your teeth. Some won’t have a bone, but most will

Really liked this place. The food is fast, clean and tasty. Just the sort of thing for an active cheat day or just some good old binging. Plus their menu is quite variable and affordable. The lyrics only accept cash!

Welcome to my latest review, where I introduce you to a hidden gem in Providence, Rhode Island: Yang Restaurant. This unclaimed Chinese eatery is nestled at 924 Broad St, and it has carved a niche for itself with its mouthwatering offerings and lively atmosphere.

Yang Restaurant stands out for several reasons. First and foremost, it provides a range of delectable dishes that capture the essence of authentic Chinese cuisine. Known for its fried chicken wings and pork fried rice, the restaurant has garnered a reputation among locals as a go-to destination for flavorful takeout.

  • Appetizers: From crispy egg rolls served with duck sauce to savory BBQ spare ribs, the appetizers set the tone for a delicious meal.
  • Soups: Offering comforting classics like wonton soup and hot and sour soup, each bowl is a warm embrace for the palate.
  • Vegetable Dishes: For the health-conscious, the stir-fried mixed vegetables and broccoli with garlic sauce provide a delightful balance.

One of the most appealing aspects of Yang Restaurant is the vibrant energy that fills the space. Despite the modest seating, the atmosphere is perfect for casual dining or cozy family gatherings. The restaurant strives to cater to diverse needs, offering takeout and catering options while ensuring that it's kid-friendly and accessible for group outings.

Customer reviews are mixed but consistently highlight the food's quality. One diner, ‘King M.’, noted that it's a bit pricier, but the culinary experience justifies the expense. Another, ‘jarrchell b.’, was irresistibly drawn in by the enticing aromas wafting from the kitchen. They described the chicken wings as "delicious," emphasizing the comfort that comes with a well-prepared meal.

While the establishment is characterized by its fast service and efficiency rather than fine dining, the modesty adds to its charm. Many customers appreciate the bilingual staff who ensure communication flows smoothly, making it welcoming for both English and Spanish speakers.

All things considered, if you’re seeking food that tantalizes your taste buds, Yang Restaurant is undeniably worth a visit. Just remember to bring cash, as they operate on a cash-only basis. Despite some cleanliness concerns, the remarkable flavor of their offerings seriously outweighs any negatives.

Next time you're in Providence, don’t miss out on the opportunity to indulge in the fantastic offerings at Yang Restaurant—a place where flavor meets casual dining bliss.
